The Havelock Police Department is divided into two sections: Patrol Operations and Support Services. The Chief of Police, G. Wayne Cyrus, heads the Department. Captain David Bratton serves as the second in command.

Lieutenant Brian L. Woods manages the Support Services Division which consists of: Criminal Investigations, Telecommunications, Administrative Support Functions, Professional Law Enforcement Education and Training, Community Outreach Programs and Animal Services.

Lieutenant Brian Borton manages the Patrol Operations Division. This division consists of four base patrol teams supported by several “Flex” Officers. Patrol Operations also oversees the School Resource Officers.
